Company Description Alexandria Company For Vegetable Oils Extraction (S.A.E), operating under Alex Seeds for Seed Processing & Derivatives, is a major oilseed processor in the MENA region with a large-scale production plant in the Borg El-Arab industrial zone, Alexandria, Egypt. Established in 2000 and converted to an Egyptian Joint Stock Company in 2009, the company is recognized as a quality manufacturer and trusted supplier of products such as soya meal, soybean oil in multiple grades, and soy lecithin. Through its subsidiary Al Wataneya Soy Products, the company has expanded into the FMCG market with healthy and affordable soy cooking oil brands such as Solo and Shatara.

Role Description The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, Egypt (Borg El-Arab industrial zone). This role is responsible for performing electrical maintenance on production equipment and utility systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of electrical components and control panels. The engineer will plan and execute preventive maintenance activities, monitor equipment performance, and ensure minimal downtime while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Daily tasks include diagnosing electrical issues, coordinating with operations and other engineering teams, updating maintenance records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives for plant reliability. The role also involves compliance with company policies and relevant industrial and environmental regulations.

- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Electricity, including power distribution, motor control, and industrial automation basics.
- Candidates should possess experience in Preventive Maintenance, including scheduling, inspection, and documentation of maintenance activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is preferred.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing environments, ideally in food or oilseed processing, is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance with ISO and OHSAS requirements is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within cross-functional teams and rotating shifts as needed.
