JOB DESCRIPTIONCharles Technology Africa seeks to hire a Web Developer to independently design, develop, and maintain both external and internal Websites and applications that leverage the WordPress Content management system. Minimum Qualifications Required:Strong HTML, CSS, PHP and Java Script skillsExpert level WordPress experience and capabilitiesAbility to integrate WP websites with other applicationsExperience with Cpanel or other managed hosting platformsProficiency with client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworksWorking knowledge of Apache, Linux Ubuntu, MySQLUnderstanding of web accessibilityAbility to work well in a team structureA passion for quality design and a drive for innovationAbility to take a concept from sketch or wireframe to final implementationStrong oral and written communication skillsMultitasking and problem-solving skillsAnalytical, organized and proactive attitudeAbility to work under tight deadlines and switch quickly and comfortably between projects as determined by supervisor, clients or other circumstancesExperience developing custom WP themes and plugins a plus
